I the summer of '96 I started looking for a decent Mopar cruiser to purchase. During the Woodward cruise my brother spotted a '71 Super Bee on the side of the road for sale and thought we should check it out. It was Butterscotch with brown interior 383-3spd on the floor. Car had original paint and solid but looked as though the Duke boys had owned it for a while. I managed to make a deal on the car and this sparked my passion for the '71's.
Since I have owned the car I have had the transmission rebuilt, which required a new flywheel and converter. I have rewired the engine compartment, removed the Holley and installed a rebuilt carter carb. (The correct carb for the motor), rebuilt the complete brake system, new power steering system including the gear box.
I hope to start a complete restoration soon. I have located a large number of NOS parts and still looking. I have bought parts from all over the county. A correct date motor form Baltimore. A set of doors from Chicago. A left quarter from Arizona. I am looking for a rust free right quarter.
